Description
Transparent Rhodolite garnet, the dark red-pink gem variety
of the mineral species Pyrope, with excellent internal clarity. This was
found in the gem gravels of the Umba River, and the outer surfaces are rough
conchoidal faces caused by alluvial wear. Ex. G. Carmichael collection.
