Partially translucent red-brown trapezohedral Almandine crystal with no matrix attached. Has clean, smooth crystal faces and has impressions on the bottom where it intersected Quartz-Muscovite matrix. Ex. Earle Sullivan (author of History and Minerals of Old Mine Park, Trumbull, Ct.)
