This is a highly unusual specimen for the intensity of color to the Powellite. The crystal has not only intense orange color, but also a luster that is equally outstanding. The contrast to the matrix of sparkling Quartz druse, on which sits bright and lustrous, shimmering Apophyllite crystals, makes it is an outstanding piece for the species and locality.
