Collection

Description

This specimen of Xenotime appears to be a composite crystal that is a stack of smaller crystals. In any case, it is large in size for this locality, and dates to a find 4-5 years ago now. The crystal is lustrous and translucent with a rich amber color that is considered highly desirable. Closely associated with the incredible Bastnasite crystals from the same deposit, this is nevertheless something much more rarely seen and treasured. These Xenotimes change color a bit, depending on the lighting spectrum, as well.
