Cat's eye

Gemstone with dense inclusions of tiny, parallel, slender, fibers that cause it to exhibit chatoyancy with line of light going through it. The most important Cat's eye gemstone is Chrysoberyl Cat's Eye, which is known simply as Cat's Eye. Cat's eye gemstones are cut and polished as rounded or oval cabochons.
