pH

Measurement used to determine the acid/alkaline level of a substance. pH is measured on a scale of 0 to 14. 7 is neutral; below 7 is acid and above is alkaline. The lower the number, the stronger its acidity; the greater the number, the stronger the alkalinity. pH stands for potential of Hydrogen (hydrogen is the cause of acidity).
