Pisolite

Type of sedimentary rock that is pisolitic in habit, composed of spheroids of layered material larger than 2 mm. In the case of pisolite/pisolitic limestone, the particles are made of radiating Calcite/Aragonite needles. Such sedimentary rocks are also referred to as a pisoliths. Bauxite is another type of Pisolite.
