Intergrown, Bladed Witherite Crystals
Collection
Robert Lavinsky
Description
Because of their deviation, in form, from the standard witherites, these from the Pigeon Roost Mine have always had sort of a cult following (especially among Texas collectors who know their rarity.) Several, bladed, bicolored crystals are intergrown in an aesthetic manner here, making for a nice miniature. The 4 cm crystals are lustrous and, at the terminations, get very gemmy. Old material from the late 1970's.
