Description

Translucent white Magnesite crystals lining a slender cavity in greenish Serpentine. The Magnesite is a secondary mineral formed from the decomposition of the serpentine, the bedrock underlying Staten Island. No damage. From John Betts' personal collection; collected ca. 1996.
