Description
A superb Arizona Sphalerite from the Iron Cap Mine, a mine south of Tucson that primarily mined gold, and secondarily silver and copper - but for mineral collectors, also turned out some really good Sphalerites. This one is complete and very sharp as you can see, on a carefully trimmed matrix. The crystal itself measures 2.2 cm across. It is actually a very deep, slightly translucent olive-coffee color. Ex. Carlton Davis collection.
