Description
Large crystal of blue-violet Tanzanite with no matrix attached. Shows excellent
color change when viewed from front and side, and picture shows both angles and their different colors due to pleochroism. One angle shows a deep blue color, and the other angle a purplish-blue color.

Merelani Hills, western slope of Lelatama Mountains, Arusha Region, Tanzania
