Lustrous Pyrargyrite with Matrix
Collection
Robert Lavinsky
Description
An outstanding, brilliantly metallic-lustrous specimen of Pyrargyrite on minor matrix, from a 2006 find at this important locality. When backlit, it glows ruby red. But just in normal lights, it is so bright and shiny that you think it must be a sulfide of some kind, rather than Pyrargyrite at the top of its luster game.
Locality
Judas Shaft, Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico
Dimensions
3.8 x 2.8 x 2.2 cm.
