Wedge-Shaped Arfvedsonite Crystal
Collection
Robert Lavinsky
Description
Very attractive prismatic Arfvedsonite crystal with excellent striations, very good luster, and a very unusual wedge habit. Most Arfvedsonites form long prismatic crystals, but this crystal is clearly shortened along the C-axis, creating what appears to be a flattened rhomb. Intergrown are several small crystals with the normal long habit. An excellent and unusual specimen for the species, and attractive in its own right.
