This is a large, solid
nodule
of gem-quality Variscite from Utah - an old-timer. It has a weather-worn surface, and was sliced open to expose the top-quality Variscite inside, then polished at this slice. Variscite of this quality is often used in jewelry, and this specimen can either be used by a
lapidary
, or kept as a very rich specimen. It weighs 135 grams and is completely pure.
