Nine crude Sapphire crystals from the historic Montana Sapphire deposits first discovered in 1895. One crystal is
waterworn
and came from the
alluvial
deposits, the others are sharper and likely originated in the American Mine, the only in situ deposit. Ex. John A. Rorer, Jr. collection #094.
